Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, located in Holywell, was founded in 1982 on the grounds of Abbey Farm. The museum contains exhibitions on the local area, a playground, soft play, Victorian and Tudor farmhouses, a tractor exhibition, farm animals, a maze and a Victorian school. There is a café on site and a shop in the visitor centre.

There are plenty of activities for the family, including soft play area, water play area, activity room, interactive learning, activity sheets and explorer backpacks. Also on site are over 70 acres to explore including Basingwerk Abbey, an historical mill, lakes and waterfalls.

Within the visitor centre there are information boards on the local area, and information sheets on local points of interest and walks.

No booking is required for Open Doors - just turn up on the day. The staff look forward to welcoming you to the site.

It is a dog-friendly site and the staff welcome your canine companions.

Only an hour's drive from Liverpool or Manchester, Greenfield Valley is ideally located on the coast of North Wales, only a short drive from the popular holiday towns of Prestatyn and Rhyl. Plenty of free parking available. The site is just down the road from the A55, and the main coastal road (A548) gives easy access from the M56 and other major motorways.

The nearest train station is just down the road in Flint. The train station is accessed via local bus routes, with various stops near to the valley for you to alight and start exploring.
